inDays Summit Žilina 2026

The flagship of the inDays initiative is the inDays Summit. It is the largest, most comprehensive and most visible format of the inDays initiative. Every year it travels to a different municipality that decides to become its host, and for a few days it turns that municipality into a centre of attention for professionals, the media and the innovation community.

Over three days, participants can look forward to a varied programme divided into clear thematic blocks that respond directly to the current challenges facing companies and entrepreneurs, as well as the pressing issues of local governments. The summit will also feature partner exhibitions offering direct contact with smart solutions, space for forging new partnerships, and expert dialogue with the relevant representatives of market leaders.

Three days full of inspiration and concrete solutions

The programme of the inDays Žilina 2026 summit is designed to cover all key aspects of modern development:

DAY 1 – 12 May 2026 – Innovation Festival

• the 5th anniversary edition of the Innovation Festival, organised by INOVIA, the innovation centre of the Žilina Region, which will connect companies, entrepreneurs, startups and investors, as well as business partners from all over Slovakia.
  
  

DAY 2 – 13 May 2026 – Innovation through Living Labs

• The development of towns, villages and regions will be the focus of the 11th edition of the conference Slovakia on the Road to Smart Cities. The main theme of this traditional Smart Cities Club event will be Living Labs.
  
  

DAY 3 – 14 May 2026 – Transport Infrastructure in Cities

• The 13th edition of the international conference Transport Infrastructure in Cities – Smart Solutions (DIM 2026) is a well-established event held under the professional guarantee of the Department of Road and Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Žilina (UNIZA). It connects local government with practice with the aim of successfully tackling the current challenges in transport in our cities.

The founder of the Smart Cities Club, Vladimír Jurík, highlights the main motivation behind the event: “Our goal is for every participant to leave not only with new contacts, but above all with the determination to change their own environment. We want to provide concrete guidance on how to do it.”
