ABOUT US
The University of Economics in Bratislava provides comprehensive education in economics and management study programmes at all levels. One of its priorities is to continuously foster an atmosphere of creativity, high standards, innovation and interdisciplinary work in research. It is precisely in this area that the University of Economics in Bratislava is a key partner in the STICS project, where it will not only deliver educational activities and disseminate the project's results, but also contribute to research in the field. The University will also take part in the practical implementation of the project, coordinating the roll-out of the Living Labs.
OUR ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE CONSORTIUM
The University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA) will take part in several work packages (WPs) and tasks within the STICS project. It leads WP6 – Living Lab Cities, which focuses on establishing Living Labs and validating and benchmarking them through a number of pilot projects. EUBA also participates in WP2 – Innovation Ecosystem, WP5 – Market Creation, WP7 – Capacity Building and WP8 – Communication and Dissemination. It is also responsible for preparing the Quality Plan (WP1 – Management).
BENEFITS OF OUR OUTPUTS AND TARGET GROUPS
The main benefit of EUBA's outputs is support for building innovation ecosystems based on data sharing between different entities and stakeholders at municipal level. These benefits will be achieved by applying existing methodologies and developing new ones, and through cooperation between research institutions and stakeholders, with the aim of strengthening the transformation processes that lead to sustainable regional development, a high and dynamic rate of innovation growth and greater competitiveness.

What do you expect from the STICS project?
The STICS project and its results will serve as a living example of how to build innovative, dynamic ecosystems that deliver sustainable regional development, with multidimensional overlaps into many subsystems. Through its eco-innovation, STICS will seek out these overlaps, create effective innovation opportunities within them and draw synergies from innovative solutions for a wide range of sectors and social groups. STICS responds directly to the global problem of regional disparities and imbalances across many areas of society.
Who will be able to use your outputs, and when?
The solutions created will reach into many areas of society, including the socio-economic, health and social, environmental, cultural and information spheres, with the aim of improving people's quality of life and securing healthy, sustainable living conditions. They will reveal the hidden innovation potential of the regions and put in place mechanisms for using it. The outputs will be available to all population groups and communities, including during the project itself.
