On 1 April 2026 we celebrated the first year since the official launch of the STICS project. And although it might look like an April Fools’ joke, the opposite is true: over the past twelve months we have achieved a great many real and significant results.
During the first year we held more than 55 internal meetings, which laid the foundation for effective cooperation and the development of the project. We engaged actively with the professional community, presenting at or attending more than 33 events and introducing more than 21 research results and scientific articles.
Planning and meeting our targets was another important part of our work. We submitted 7 plans, successfully delivered 13 deliverables and reached 3 key project milestones.
We are especially pleased by the involvement of young people: 21 students took an active part in project-oriented work, and we were able to motivate and support them in their professional development.
Nor did we neglect communication with the public. Through social media, press releases and the media, we shared news about the project more than 48 times. We also submitted 2 new project proposals, further expanding our activities.
Our thanks go to all the partners, colleagues and supporters who are part of this journey. We look forward to another year full of new challenges, collaboration and innovation.
