ABOUT US

SPECTRA EU Centre of Excellence is a research and development institution working in spatial planning, strategic socio-economic planning of territorial entities, and land-use, landscape, urban and regional planning. It was founded by leading European scientific and educational institutions in these fields and currently operates through five sub-centres in Europe, Asia and Africa, in cooperation with Jiao Tong University Shanghai and Cairo University in Giza.

The outputs cover a full spectrum, from concepts and strategies to integrated innovation solutions for the development of public administration, public infrastructure and services, addressing municipal, town and regional authorities in relation to challenges such as demographic change, digitalisation, climate change and a just green transformation of the economy and society, including the energy transition.

What do you expect from the STICS project?

Strengthening cooperation within the innovation ecosystem that supports the effectiveness of local authorities in ensuring quality of life for residents and conditions for economic development, while improving the use of SPECTRA CE EU's research and development capacity for practical social benefit.
